(NEWS) 2WA Expands to More Than a Distributor

Greetings, colleagues and friends! I hope this message finds you and yours well.

Perhaps you have heard that Walter Swanbon of Fidelis Distribution and my entity, Nexus Audio Technologies, have merged to form The 2WA Group.

This email is long, so, let me give you the “elevator” version if you don’t want to read the entire scribe.

The 2WA Group is designed from the ground up to drive customers to your establishments via social media, webdev/branding and PR entities that are working in tandem with The 2WA Group to promote all of our brands.

Our brands are Aequo loudspeakers, Falcon Acoustics loudspeakers, Ideon digital, SPL electronics, Stenheim loudspeakers, and Trilogy electronics.

We are marketing ourselves and our brands differently via conventional SM and PR, as well as through press releases that reach a wide audience, reaching millions throughout the year. The 2WA Group – Reimagining and Redefining Traditional Roles

The era of acting solely as a distributor, or offering marketing or representation services exclusively, is over. Even when ‘full service’ implies just that, it is rarely delivered. The digital age requires a vastly more nimble, versatile approach. And thankfully, it also gives us the tools to provide a truly comprehensive suite of services. Distribution

2WA Group distributes high-performance audio products to our North American Dealer Network. We ship from our East Coast US headquarters located in Nashua, New Hampshire. With well over 100 years of combined experience in high-performance audio, 2WA Group is optimally positioned to ensure the highest level of service and white glove attention to detail.

Brand Management

2WA Group takes brand management literally. Rather than merely representing brands to dealers and customers/end users, 2WA Group uses its depth of expertise and vast reservoir of experience to assist its client brands to manage their own businesses more effectively. Additionally, 2WA Group has consolidated all the resources under one roof necessary to a truly comprehensive suite of brand management services.

These include strategic planning, branding/logo design, public relations, marketing, advertising, and promoting brand awareness—as well as all the digital aspects thereof, including web development and social/viral media. In addition to working together to help our clients develop, implement, and maintain carefully conceived marketing and brand strategies, our 2WA Group Support Team provides, for our brands, the following specific services.

Public Relations

Adam Sohmer heads up our Public Relations Department. Sohmer is the Principal and Founder of NYC-based Sohmer Associates LLC. Sohmer Associates is dedicated solely to providing boutique public relations and marketing communications services to the consumer and professional segments of the electronics industry.

Adam Sohmer possesses significant depth of expertise, earned over more than 30 years spent working with companies of every size, including Sony, Panasonic, Marantz, Polk Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Alta Audio, NHT, and HiFiMAN Electronics, among many others.

Branding, Design, Web Development & Marketing

Brian Penry serves as our resident Creative Director. Founder and Principal of Connecticut-based Penry Creative, Penry has spent over five decades in design, illustration, wordsmithing, and branding. His focus is on branding and marketing for entertainment, the performing arts, and related industries. Designer of the original WrestleMania logo, Brian also designed, illustrated, and wrote the original style guide for Sega’s flagship property, Sonic The Hedghog—the world’s best selling video game character. He also designed the Infinity Broadcasting logo (now part of CBS/Audacy), and worked closely with Infinity for over 25 years, which included promoting its (then) on-air talent, Howard Stern.

Brian brings a wealth of experience working with a wide range of major brands in various capacities including Sony (three divisions), Perrier, Coca Cola, Patek Philippe, Carnegie Hall, NBC, ABC, CBS, Viacom, Joe Perry (of Aerosmith), The Bolshoi Opera and Ballet (Russia), Rolex, Home Improvement, Cartier, Vincent van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam) and Krell.

Social & Viral Media

Keenan Davis is responsible for developing social and viral media strategies and campaigns to promote 2WA Group client brands. He is currently the owner of the NYC-based J|K Performance Group. After graduating from the #1 ranked Entrepreneurship Program at Boston’s Babson College, Davis ran his own digital marketing firm for nine years in the ‘90s. He spent the next five years serving as head of digital marketing and ecommerce at The New York Times. 

Following that, he spent another five years as Director of Digital Marketing & Media at Turtle Beach—the leading, third party video gaming headset manufacturer for Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation. In 2015, Davis became Senior Director of Marketing for SVS, a leading home audio and entertainment company. SVS specializes in speakers and subwoofers designed to create immersive experiences while enjoying music, movies and streaming/on-demand TV.

During Keenan’s tenure at SVS he helped drive multi-millon dollar growth, increased web traffic exponentially and elevated the brand’s global presence through integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
